Jasmin – the Flip camera only takes videos but the Flipshare software that comes with it allows you to save any single frame of a video you shoot as an image – so you can use that feature to save pics/photos. Unfortunately Cisco announced last week they are discontinuing the Flip – sad as it’s a great camera.

Glad it helped Dan! Yes I am still getting used to the Flip to know at what distance how much of me is in the shot – but the more I play with it the better I get. Never thought of using a mirror – good idea!

Hey Phil thanks for posting this. I have been search the web for the last hour for a quick fix to this problem. Now I just need to find a pocket mirror to attach to it so I can see myself in the viewer.

Glad you found it useful Louise – we will be reviewing a lot more tools like this on the blog. I find the Xshot and my Gorilla Pod (little flexible tripod) to be great additions to the Flip. Can't wait to see videos you post with yours – it's a fun camera to use and it makes it super easy to shoot video.

Awesome vid, Phil! I’ve got long arms and still have a problem getting far enough away from the camera to make it smooth and clear. Can’t wait to try the XShot.
